Rebtel Wants To help You Reach Your Loved Ones In The Middle-East February 25th, 2011

Just like most people across the world, all of us here at Rebtel HQ have been following the unrest currently unfolding in the Middle East.

We really want to help those with loved ones who are located in the midst of the current turmoil and allow them to connect with their family and friends and make sure they’re alright.

Consequently, we’ve decided to launch our Free Call service in Algeria, Bahrain and Jordan, allowing for free international mobile calls. We’ve already lowered the rates to Egypt and Algeria, and from Friday February the 25th, we’ll also lower the rates to Bahrain, Jordan, Libya and Yemen with up to 73% off for some countries.

Our new rates for direct calls to Bahrain, Jordan, Libya and Yemen are:

Bahrain 4.1 cents/minute USD to both fixed lines and mobiles

Jordan 7.5 cents/minute USD to fixed lines and 9.2 cents/minute USD to mobiles

Libya 25.9 cents/minute USD to fixed lines, 30.9 cents/minute USD to mobile

Yemen 12.9 cents/minute USD to both fixed lines and mobiles.

To find out more about how you can make Free Calls to Algeria, Bahrain and Jordan, please see below:

1. Ring your contact as usual using their local Rebtel number

2. Ask your friends to hang up and call you back using the local Rebtel number they see on their Caller ID, while you stay on the line

3. You’ll be connected directly and the call will be entirely free of any Rebtel charge. You and your friend only pay for the local part of the call to your operator, if applicable.

Please note: If you have an existing contact to a friend in Jordan or Algeria in your account, you must first delete the contact, refresh the contact list page and then re-add the the number to your account. You will also be able to see the number that your friend can call you back on by clicking on the name of the contact and then click on ‘Find out how’.

We want you to know that we’re standing by you and we wish you, and your family and friends in the Middle East, peace and safety during this troubled time.

  • Som3almalek

The flag for Yemen (above) is not correct
It should be like the flag of Egypt

  • You're very right, mistake has been corrected. Sorry for that!
